a half a pound a day

that's what i figure i've been losing since this lifestyle change (notice how i didn't call it a diet? diet indicates that it's only temporary) started less than two weeks ago. i'm down about 8 pounds and i think it maybe kinda sorta is starting to show.

probably about 50% of my strategy is just eating like a normal human being, which includes only eating out twice a week and making my own breakfast, lunch, and dinner. another 10% of the strategy involves going cold turkey on sugary drinks, another 10% is only drinking alcohol twice a week (usually on the nights I eat out). I supplement my meals with more fruits and vegetables and otherwise just eat a lot less, making sure to count calories and that i clock in under 2,000 by the end of the day.

and then of course I burn a massive number of calories just by working out several times a week, a routine that's easy to keep up because i've been doing it for a few years now. it means that once the layer of fat is gone i won't have a skinny frame waiting for me. i've never had a desire to be skinny, just thin, and at my current rate by the middle of march i'll be the thinnest i've been since may 2007.
